Sparkman hosts an all ages members only 3 X 3 basketball tournament. The tournament is modeled after the popular The tournament includes a three or four-man roster for male and female teams of all abilities and ages. The games will be at the Sparkman park basketball court. The tournament includes a 12-second shot clock leading to some fast-paced basketball, and follows the FIBA regulations and rules

  2. How much does it cost to enter the tournament?

    The tournament cost is $10 per player. Proceeds benefit the Sparkman park renovation project.

  3. Where do I pay?

    Please bring your cash or check payment to the tournament.

  4. Can I bring people outside of the neighborhood?

    Yes. There must be one active member playing on the court with the team.

  5. What should I bring?

    Please bring a chair and plenty of water.

  6. How many players are allowed on a team?

    Each team is allowed up to four registered players and must have a minimum of three.

  7. Do all team members have to be the same age?

    No. You can build your team however you like. Keep in mind, however, that it may not be possible to bracket teams with very diverse player characteristics against other teams of similar makeup. Teams are required to register for the division matching the age of their oldest player. For example, a team with three 19 year olds and a 20 year old will register in the Adult Division.

  8. If I am a single or can't field a team of three will you match me to a team?

    No. We cannot help you field a team. Please construct your 3 or 4 player team prior to showing up to the tournament.

  9. Do youth teams play on a shorter hoop?

    No, all ages will play on a full 10’ hoop.

  10. What size ball is used for the tournament?

    The tournament uses official 29.5" balls.

  11. Are the games to 10 or 20?

    The games are 20 points or 20 minutes whichever comes first. Each basket is worth one point and a basket behind the arc is worth two points.

  12. Can spectators (friends, family and fans) come to the tournament?

    Yes, the event is free for spectators. Friends and family are encouraged to come out and support.
